Rong-Ching Chang
Rong Ching Chang is a second-year Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of California, Davis. Her advisors are Prof. Zubair Shafiq and Magdalena Wojcieszak. She earned her master’s degree in Computer Science from Tunghai University, Taiwan. She received her BA in Finance from Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan.
Rong-Ching’s research area includes auditing recommendation systems, modeling user behavior, video understanding, and classification using large language models, causal inference, graph neural networks, and multimodal inference. One of her goals in video understanding was to identify harmful TikTok challenges, inappropriate or violent videos to protect users and children. Rong Ching has a rich experience in research. She has over 10 publications from peer-reviewed conferences and journals. She was also an invited reviewer for Nature when she was a master’s student.
